These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sown mobile application ("App," "Service"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sown, you acknowledge that:

You have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms
You have read and agree to our Privacy Policy
You are at least 18 years of age
You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts
You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MODIFY THESE TERMS AT ANY TIME. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

2.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Sown. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

2.2 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access: hello@sownapp.com
We are not liable for losses due to unauthorized use of your account

2.3 Prohibited Users

You may not use the App if you have been previously banned from the Service.

3. Description of Service

3.1 Core Functionality

Sown tracks your usage of specific social media applications and assigns a monetary cost per minute. You maintain a prepaid balance that is charged based on your usage.

Tracked Applications: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Reddit

3.2 How It Works

You top up your account balance using Stripe payment processing
The App tracks foreground time spent on tracked social media apps
You are charged at configurable per-minute rates

3.3 Service Limitations

Android Only: Usage tracking is only available on Android devices
Requires Permission: You must grant "Usage Access" permission on Android
Best Effort: Usage tracking when app is backgrounded or device is in Doze mode is limited by Android system restrictions
No Refunds: The Service is designed to encourage mindful usage, not to provide guaranteed results

4. Account Balance and Payments

⚠️ Important: All top-ups are final and non-refundable.

4.1 Prepaid Balance

You must maintain a positive balance to use the tracking service
All usage charges are deducted from your prepaid balance
Balances are non-refundable and non-transferable
Unused balances do not expire while your account is active

4.2 Top-Ups

Top-ups are processed securely via Stripe
Minimum top-up: $5.00 (or currency equivalent)
Maximum top-up: $1,000 per transaction
Supported currencies: USD, EUR, GBP
All top-ups are final and non-refundable

4.3 Payment Processing

Payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe
We do not store your credit card details
You agree to Stripe's Terms of Service: https://stripe.com/legal
Failed payments may result in service suspension

4.4 Fees and Charges

No Hidden Fees: You set your own per-minute rates
No Subscription: Pay only for what you use
No Service Fees: We do not add fees beyond your configured rates
Daily Caps: You can set daily spending limits (default: $20/day)

4.5 Billing Disputes

You have 30 days from the transaction date to dispute charges

We will investigate and respond within 10 business days
Disputes must include transaction date, amount, and reason

5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

5.1 NO WARRANTIES

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

5.2 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or use of the Service shall not exceed the lesser of:

The amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, OR
$100 USD

✓ We provide the Service "AS IS" with no warranties
